Nerdwork+ Acquires Exclusive Digital Publishing Rights to Erivic’s ÀÌKÚ in Seven-Figure Deal

Nerdwork+, Nigeria’s leading digital comic book and content platform, has acquired the exclusive rights to host and publish Adedayo Erivic’s highly anticipated comic book, ÀÌKÚ: The Dead That Never Dies, on its platform.

While the exact financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, both parties, We Are Erivic Productions and Nerdwork+, have confirmed that the licensing arrangement is a seven-figure deal. The agreement grants Nerdwork+ the exclusive right to host and digitally distribute all three sequences of the comic book on its platform upon release.

Nerdwork+ is a fast-growing Nigerian platform and a subsidiary of Nerdwork Official, which is also home to Nerdwork Comic Con, one of the biggest geek gatherings in Nigeria.

Speaking to TheACE, Nerdwork founder Benny confirmed that the figures involved in the deal would remain private. He revealed that the digital version of ÀÌKÚ would be released on Nerdwork+’s web platform at the company’s own event, Nerdwork Comic Con, taking place towards the end of this month and running into November.

Benny explained that his decision to work with Erivic was rooted in an appreciation for the creator’s approach, describing the work as “culture-first and creative,” and noting that it breaks away from conventional superhero tropes. He confirmed that the arrangement between both parties is an exclusive partnership.

The deal marks a significant milestone for Erivic and for ÀÌKÚ, positioning the project within one of Nigeria’s most prominent digital comics ecosystems ahead of its release. It also underscores a growing appetite among Nigerian platforms for original, culturally rooted storytelling that moves beyond familiar superhero conventions, a trend TheACE will continue to track as more details of the release, including its Nerdwork Comic Con debut, are confirmed.

More details to follow as they become available.
